NOEMA / BRAND SYSTEM 1.0
A clear thought.
A clear identity.
A small design system for an honest mathematics lab. One signature blue. A mark with a boundary. Room for the work to speak.
01 / THE MARK
A thought within a boundary.
An N, a circle, one color. Built on a 64-unit grid with fixed strokes and eight units of clear space. At small sizes, the circle drops away and the N remains.
02 / THE PALETTE
Blue is the signature.
Base colors from clrs.cc ↗. Navy does the reading. Blue points to the next action. Aqua gives illustrations air. Neutrals keep everything quiet.

Navy / Ink#001F3F
Aqua / Illustration#7FDBFF
Silver / Structure#DDDDDD
White #FFFFFF is the canvas. Black #111111 and Gray #AAAAAA are supporting neutrals. Maroon #85144B marks failed rules with written labels. Olive #3D9970 is reserved for decorative status indicators. No gray body text on white.
03 / TYPE & VOICE
Curious.
Precise. Candid.
Georgia for questions and discoveries. System sans for explanations and controls. Real words before notation. Say what we checked, where we stopped, and what remains unknown.
Write this.
“Every start through 10,000 reached one.”
Keep the boundary.
“That supports the conjecture within this range. It does not prove it for every number.”
Body 14px minimum. Supporting text 12px. Short metadata 10px. Spacing: 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48, 64px.
04 / COMPONENTS & ACCESSIBILITY
Useful before ornamental.
A little closer to knowing.
Shared colors, spacing, type and focus states. Every graph has a textual result. Every status has a word. Keyboard controls and reduced motion are part of the design.
Try the real workbench ↗- One color per logo. No stretching, gradients, shadows or rotation.
- Use the full mark at 24px and above; the simplified N at 16–23px.
- 44px minimum control height. Visible focus rings. Arrow keys for tabs.
- Navy on white and aqua; white on navy and blue.
